How to play — Game zone

Step-by-step instructions for every mode. All progress, ghosts, and achievements stay in this browser only (local storage). Use a physical keyboard for the best experience.

Before you start (all games)

  1. Click anywhere on the game page (or the focus box, if the game shows one) so the browser is listening to key presses.
  2. Use your real keyboard — on-screen keyboards usually will not send the same key events.
  3. If a key “does nothing,” your OS or browser may be capturing it (common with Ctrl/Cmd shortcuts). That is expected for some combos in Combo supreme.
  4. Refresh-safe: closing the tab does not reset achievements, but clearing site data or another browser profile will.

Ghost race

You race through a fixed trail of 10 keys (letters and digits). After your first clean run, a ghost replays your personal best timing on the same trail so you can try to beat your past self.

  1. Open Ghost race from the Game zone. If you have saved data, the trail may already show on screen.
  2. Click into the focus box (or the page) so keys are captured.
  3. Press Start race. A short countdown runs (3…2…1…GO).
  4. When racing, press keys in order, one at a time, matching the trail. Only the currently expected key advances you; wrong keys flash the UI but do not advance.
  5. Watch the You vs Ghost bars: the ghost advances by time according to your saved split times.
  6. Finish all 10 keys before the ghost to win that race. If the ghost finishes first, you lose that attempt.
  7. A faster total time can replace your saved ghost for the next session. Use New 10-key track to wipe the saved ghost and generate a fresh trail (you will need a new first run to set a ghost again).

Lightning brackets

A best-of-3 “series.” Each round lasts 10 seconds. You must land more correct taps on the highlighted key than the challenger’s target number.

  1. Press Start bracket.
  2. Each round shows one target key (letter or digit) at a time. Each correct press counts as one tap and a new random target appears.
  3. The target also auto-changes every ~1.4 seconds even if you did not press yet — stay alert.
  4. When the timer hits 0, the round ends. Your tap count is compared to “Beat: N.” More taps than N wins the round; fewer (or equal) loses it.
  5. First player to win 2 rounds wins the series. After a round, press Next round (unless the series already ended).
  6. The challenger’s target is based on your recent round scores stored locally — it gets harder as you improve.

Daily chaos

The rule changes by calendar day (UTC) — the date shown is the same one used to pick today’s mutation. Just press keys; the screen explains scoring or health for the active rule.

  1. Open Daily chaos and read the title and blurb for today’s mode.
  2. For health modes (e.g. vowels heal, numbers heal / letters hurt): watch the health bar. Keys move HP up or down as described. Session timer helps you track time (some badges need 60+ seconds with HP left).
  3. For score modes: build score or combo as described. Wrong-type keys may reset combo or subtract points.
  4. Digits only / Letters only: only those keys advance your combo or score; other keys break streak or penalize you.
  5. Space is lava: the first Space press wipes your score once; other keys add +1.
  6. Modifier mania: plain keys +1; keys pressed while holding Shift, Ctrl, or Alt score more (some shortcuts may never reach the page).
  7. Numpad or nothing: only number-pad digit keys add score; other keys reduce score.

Bloom garden

A calm mode: grow petals by hitting the current lotus key; mistakes trim your garden.

  1. Watch “Current:” — that is the only key that grows the bloom for this step.
  2. Press that key. You gain a bloom, a petal appears, and the target changes to a new random key.
  3. Press any other key: you lose two blooms and several petals are removed.
  4. There is no timer; stop whenever you like. Practice accuracy over speed.

Constellation (星座)

Every key creates a star at a position derived from the key code. Stars that are close get faint connecting lines — good for screenshots.

  1. Click the page so the canvas has focus.
  2. Press any keys you like (avoid relying on Tab/Escape if they move focus).
  3. Each press adds a point and redraws links between nearby stars.
  4. Resize the window to resize the sky; older stars stay in pixel coordinates (explore and refill if you want a fresh composition).

Combo supreme

Six prompts in a row: you must match exactly each chord (Shift/Ctrl/Alt + key) or single key (e.g. F4), in order.

  1. Read the OS note: shortcuts like Ctrl+C might be taken by the browser or OS before the page sees them.
  2. Press Start round (6 chords).
  3. For each step, hold the required modifiers and press the key, or press F4 alone when asked.
  4. A wrong attempt increments “Mistakes this run” but you stay on the same step until you get it right.
  5. After all six are done, the round completes; you can run Again.

Blindfold round

You get about one second to see 6 keys, then they hide. Type the same sequence in order from memory.

  1. Press Peek & run.
  2. Memorize the six keys shown (they hide quickly).
  3. Type them one by one in the same order. There is no on-screen hint during typing.
  4. One wrong key ends the run immediately.
  5. Finish all six in order for a “perfect” clear; wins are counted under Local wins.

Achievements & seasons

  1. Visit the Game zone hub and scroll to the Achievement wall. Locked cards are dim; unlocked show a star.
  2. Playing games unlocks badges over time (streaks, wins, skill checks).
  3. Seasonal badges can unlock when you play during themed date ranges (see the hub note). Cosmetic overlays match those seasons automatically.
